Bulldogs’ baseball doubleheader rained out

BILOXI – Mississippi Gulf Coast's Friday doubleheader against Mineral Area was cancelled because of rain. The Bulldogs led 14-1 in the top of the third in the first game when it was called.

 

Donald Stokes was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and five RBI, but the stats will not count official. Tyler Evans also had three hits, including a double, and two RBI. Sam Taylor had three RBI on two hits.

 

Chris Crosby allowed one hit in 2.2 innings of work, striking out five.

 

Gulf Coast returns to action Feb. 25 when the Bulldogs entertain Dysersburg State at 2 p.m., and Kaskaskia at 5 p.m.
