PERKINSTON — The Mississippi Gulf Coast men's basketball team has clinched a spot in the Region 23 Tournament, but still have some work to do to guarantee a state berth.

The Bulldogs (15-4, 7-3 MACJC South) need a win Monday against Meridian (2-16, 0-11) at the Weathers/Wentzell Center and a Pearl River loss to guarantee that trip to the MACJC Tournament.

The event will be hosted by the South Division champ, and Gulf Coast is still in the running for that. The Bulldogs are in third, two games behind Jones County and a game behind Southwest.

No. 10 Jones visits Perk on Thursday, and Southwest still has to make the trip, as well. Those are part of a finishing stretch that has the Bulldogs hosting three of their final four games.

The game against Meridian will be streamed online: https://livestream.com/BulldogLIVE/meridianvsmgcccbasketball17
