Three Mississippi Gulf Coast golfers made the All-Tournament team, led by Jake Crosson, and the Bulldogs won the first MACJC golf tournament of the year by 21 shots Sunday at Raymond.
No. 2 Gulf Coast shot 9-over 297 to finish at plus-12, pulling away from No. 7 Meridian.
Crosson came into Sunday's final round tied for the lead and shot even to finish at 2-under, four back of Hinds' Ryan Bell, who was playing on his team's home course at Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
Jon Hopkins (So., Hockerill Anglo-European College/Bishop's Stortford, England) shot a second consecutive 73 to finish third, and Cameron Mobley (Fr., Northwest Rankin/Brandon) finished tied for fourth to join Crosson on the All-Tournament team.
Gulf Coast won its seventh straight MACJC regular-season or postseason tournament after sweeping all the 2017-18 events. The Bulldogs will go for eight in a row Oct. 4-5 in the Itawamba Fall Invitational in Amory.
