Gulf Coast falls at LSU-Eunice

Mississippi Gulf Coast mounted a furious comeback on Saturday but fell 81-67 on the road at LSU-Eunice.

 

The Lady Bulldogs (3-2) trailed 51-31 after the first 20 minutes but cut it to a one-point deficit with six minutes to play.

 

Keiara Williams (6-1, Fr, New Orleans/Warren Easton) led Gulf Coast with 20 points and eight rebounds, but left the game due to injury with 4:30 left. Shaniqua Tobias (5-6, So, New Orleans/Warren Easton) had 17 points and three assists.

 

LSU-E (2-4) shot 32 free throws to the Lady Bulldogs' 18.

 

Gulf Coast returns to action after the Thanksgiving holidays. The Lady Bulldogs entertain Baton Rouge on Dec. 1.
