Sims’ double-double not enough for MGCCC

Eanna Sims got her second double-double of the season Monday, but it wasn't enough as Mississippi Gulf Coast fell 60-52 on the road to Southwest in Summit.

Sims (5-11, Fr., Jackson/Forest Hill) finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds, both of which led the Lady Bulldogs.

Jordana Jolley (5-7, Fr., Brandon/Northwest Rankin) had 13 points, five rebounds and three steals for Gulf Coast.

The Lady Bulldogs fall to 7-9 overall. They went 1-6 on their first time through the MACJC South opponents.

Southwest is 13-3, 4-3.

Gulf Coast returns to action Thursday at Hinds. The Lady Bulldogs tip off at 5:30 p.m. in Raymond. Their next home game is Feb. 6 when Copiah-Lincoln visits the Weathers/Wentzell Center.
