Bio

Cody Livingston joined the Gulf Coast baseball staff in August 2019 and is entering his second season with the program. The former Southern Miss pitcher had been an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas- Little Rock the previous two seasons. 

Livingston, served as Little Rock’s first-base coach (2018) and third-base coach (2019), while assisting with the offense, pitching staff and outfielders. The Trojans won the most games since 2010 (29) which was also tied for third-most wins in program history. The Trojans finished second in the Sun Belt Conference in 2019, again a program best. Little Rock won its first postseason game since 2011.

Livingston coached three first-team All-Conference players and helped six players advance to the pros. 

During his playing career at Southern Mississippi (2012-2016) he was part of two Conference USA championships.  He was also awarded the Colonel Fletcher Leadership award following the 2016 season. 

Livingston has earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in sport management from The University of Southern Mississippi.

He is a Brandon native and went to Northwest Rankin High School where he was selected to the first-team Class 6A All-State team in 2011.
