Gulf Coast sits in second at MACJC event

Mississippi Gulf Coast sits in second halfway through the third MACJC golf event of the year. The Bulldogs are at 10-over and trail Meridian by 13 strokes at the Copiah-Lincoln's Wolf Hollow Golf Club in Wesson.

Gulf Coast's Jesse Sunderman, playing as an individual, shot 1-under 71 and is in third, four off leader Lance Strickland's pace. The Meridian golfer leads Co-Lin's Philip Heine by three shots.

The Bulldogs' Colin Troxler shot 73 and is in tied for fifth, a shot ahead of Wyatt Adkison in ninth. George Kawell is another shot back in a tenth-place tie.

Phillip HIckam, who shot 76, is tied for 12^th along with Jonathon Newman, playing as an individual.

The eight teams return to the course Sunday for the final round.
