Kailey Hilderbrand returns to Gulf Coast to join new head coach Izzy Werdann’s first staff as pitching coach. Hilderbrand played at Perk in 2018 before heading to Memphis, where she competed for four seasons.

At Memphis, she appeared in 55 games, finishing with a 4-5 record and one save. She started 10 games for the Tigers. After graduating, she spent two season as a graduate assistant at her alma mater. 

Hilderbrand was the pitching coach at Arkansas Tech in 2025. 

Hilderbrand was injured during her lone season at Gulf Coast in, appearing in four games. She was a star at Hernando High School, going 11-5 with a 1.67 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 108.2 innings while batting .395. She played in the Mississippi Association of Coaches Class 4A/5A/6A Fast-Pitch All-Star Game and was named to the Clarion-Ledger All-State Team.

She has a bachelor’s in professional and liberal studies and a master’s in sports commerce.
