Juan Salazar scored all Mississippi Gulf Coast's goals in a 3-0 victory over Copiah-Lincoln in rainy Wesson on Friday.
The Bulldogs (9-4, 5-2 MACJC South) played without Jordan Parron and Josh Palm, sitting out due to red-card suspensions.
"It was really just a matter of getting the result we needed given we were down two important players," Gulf Coast coach Chris Handy said. "It really showed."
James Beattie assisted twice in game where it rained for about 80 minutes, hard enough to affect play.
Handy said midfielder Michael Graham put in a good 70-minute shift helping to cover for the missing players. Jordan Guillot and Anthony Cafalone also plugged the gap effectively.
Gulf Coast has an important game Tuesday when Jones County visits Tuesday at 7 p.m.
