MACJC Softball Tourney rained out

ELLISVILLE — The second day of the MACJC Softball Tournament was interrupted by severe weather, and the rest of the Thursday's schedule has been postponed.

No. 12 Gulf Coast will play No. 10 Itawamba in a winners' bracket game next. Tournament officials will walk the field at Jones early Friday morning to see when it will be playable, with an aim of resuming play at 9 a.m.

If play is able to resume, the Lady Bulldogs would be scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m.

One game was started Thursday. Copiah-Lincoln was leading Southwest 8-3 after six innings in the first game of the losers' bracket.

Game 5 conclusion: Copiah-Lincoln vs. Southwest, 30 minutes after Game 6 conclusion

Game 7: Gulf Coast vs. Itawamba, 12:30 p.m.

Game 8: Pearl River vs. Northeast, 3 p.m.

Game 9: Game 8 loser vs. Game 5 winner, 5:30 p.m.

Game 10: Game 7 loser vs. Game 6 winner, 8 p.m.

Rest of tournament

Game 11: Game 7 winner vs. Game 8 winner

Game 12: Game 9 winner vs. Game 10 winner

Game 13: Game 11 loser vs. Game 12 winner

Game 14: Game 11 winner vs. Game 13 winner
