6 Bulldogs named All-MACJC
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast had five players named to the All-MACJC baseball team for 2018, including two to the First Team.
Left fielder Brandon Parker and first baseman Alden Davis received that honor, while right-handed pitcher Kole Kittrell, shortstop Cullan O'Shea and left fielder Chase Fagan were named to the Second Team.
Parker, a freshman from West Harrison, broke the school home run record by slugging 24, second most in the county, and led the country with 81 RBI in 52 games. He hit .424, had a .500 on-base percentage and slugged .932.
Davis, a freshman from Pascagoula, batted .384 with eight home runs and 56 RBI in 50 games. He slugged .616 and reached base 47.3 percent of the time.
Lewis, a sophomore from Mobile, Ala., went 9-2 with a 2.48 ERA in 13 games. He struck out 76 batters in 80.0 innings and had four complete games.
Kittrell, a freshman from Greene County, shined from the bullpen and in a starting role. He had three saves before being converted to a starter and finished with a 7-3 record and 2.55 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 49.1 innings.
O'Shea, a freshman from Mobile, Ala., tied for second on the team with 10 home runs and drove in 31 runs. He batted .346 with a .692 slugging percentage, reaching base at a .474 clip.
Fagan, a sophomore from Hancock High, batted .340 with three home runs and 18 RBI. He had nine doubles and a triple.
