MGCCC’s Mills-Derouen named MACJC Pitcher of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast pitcher Dylan Mills-Derouen has been named MACJC Baseball Pitcher of the week after his shutout of Hinds.
Mills-Derouen, a pitcher from Biloxi, pitched a shutout for Gulf Coast in a 2-0 win against Mississippi Delta. She struck out nine in the seven-inning game, allowing six hits. He has both the Bulldogs' shutouts this year.
"That's a great honor for him," Bulldogs coach Rodney Batts said. "He's been consistent for us all year, so it's a well deserved honor. He probably didn't have his breaking ball like he's had in games before. He had a really good fastball, which he spotted up."
Mills-Derouen has signed with the University of West Florida to continue his playing career.
