MGCCC’s Dean wins MACJC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast linebacker Reggio Dean has been named MACJC Defensive Player of the Week after his inspired game in a 34-0 shutout of Hinds.
Dean, a 5-foot-10, 215-pound sophomore from Northeast Jones, had seven tackles, one assist, one tackle for loss, a sack and a 51-yard interception return for a touchdown.
It's the third time Dean has won Player of the Week honors. He earned two as a freshman.
Gulf Coast (2-3, 2-1 MACJC South) travels to Mississippi Delta on Thursday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
