No. 14 MGCCC men lose to No. 13 Meridian
PERKINSTON — No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast saw its 10-match win streak end when the Bulldogs got beaten by No. 13 Meridian 6-3.
A couple of close matches flipped against Gulf Coast, which falls to 13-4 overall, 9-2 in MACJC play. Both the Bulldogs losses have come at the hands of Meridian.
Noah Tippen (So, Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville) and Noah Rowell (Fr, Wiggins/Stone) won their No. 2 doubles match, and Tippen won his No. 3 singles match in a third-set tiebreaker.
Gulf Coast returns to action Monday. The Bulldogs travel to No. 15 Jones County, with the first serve at 2 p.m. It will be the fourth match against a ranked squad in five days.
