Rowell picks up win for MGCCC
No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast's Noah Rowell got a big win Tuesday during the second day of the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Tournmanet in Plano, Texas.
Noah Rowell (Fr, Wiggins/Stone) defated Marion Military's William Foster 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 to advance to the quarterfinals of the No. 4 singles main draw. He had a bye in the first round, so he earned three points for the win.
Gulf Coast now has 5.5 points in the team standings after Travis Bell won his No. 1 singles consolation match over Wallace State's Cade Pressnell after an epic tiebreaker. Bell advanced 6-4, 3-6, 16-14.
