No. 14 MGCCC downs No. 15 JCJC
No. 14 Mississippi Gulf Coast got back on the winning track against another nationally ranked team Monday, edging No. 15 Jones County 5-4 in Ellisville.
Brett Bowen (So, Oxford/Oxford) won a third-set tiebreaker in No. 6 singles 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 over Luke Armstrong.
The Bulldogs improved to 14-4 overall and 10-2 in MACJC play.
Gulf Coast plays its last regular-season match Wednesday at Hinds. Matches begin at 2 p.m. in Raymond.
The MACJC/Region 23 Tournament is being played at the MGCCC Tennis Complex April 19-22.
