Conley, Mustered named USC All-Americans
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast was one of six schools with multiple members of the United Soccer Coaches NJCAA Division II All-American Team after Laurel Conley and Linda Mustered picked up awards Friday.
Conley, a sophomore keeper from Ocean Springs, anchored one of the conference's stingiest defenses, finishing third in the MACCC with a 0.97 goals-against average and ranking third overall with an impressive .845 save percentage. She compiled a 9-3-1 record, recorded two solo shutouts, and contributed to two additional clean sheets as a key leader in the back.
Mustered, a sophomore forward from Biloxi, matched the team high with seven assists and added nine goals — third most on the squad — while consistently creating danger down the right flank. She delivered some of the season's biggest offensive moments, highlighted by a hat trick against Hinds and a two-goal effort versus Itawamba in consecutive late-season matches.
