Roche scores MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Trey Roche has been named the MACCC Player of the Week after a productive week on the pitch.
The freshman forward from Pass Christian had two goals and an assist for the No. 15 Bulldogs. The award was voted on by the conference's sports information directors.
Roche had a goal and set up another in a 6-0 win over Meridian, and he scored in a 2-1 loss at No. 13 Pearl River.
He's the third Bulldog to win a weekly conference honor this season. Midfielder Alexander Mink and keeper Omarion Brown picked up the awards earlier. Roche is now eligible for the NJCAA award, which will be announced Wednesday.
