Mink named USC All-South Region

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Alexander Mink grabbed another postseason award this week.

He's been named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division II Men's All-South Region Team. It's his second year being named to a USC All-Region Team. He went on to earn All-American honors from the organization last year as a defender.

This year, the sophomore from Long Beach flashed again as a midfielder. He tied for fourth in the MACCC with 16 goals while adding a pair of assists. Mink had hat tricks against Georgia Military, Southwest Mississippi and East Mississippi.

He's already earned All-MACCC and All-NJCAA Region 23 awards this season.
