MGCCC Golf will hold fundraising tournament

PERKINSTON —The nationally ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College golf team will hold its annual fundraising tournament on Aug. 7.

The event was originally scheduled to take place March 9, but was cancelled because of weather.

The event will take place at Pine Burr Country Club in Wiggins with lunch at 11 a.m. and a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Awards will be given for double-low net and double-low gross, with a blind draw for teams after play.

Each golfer will play his or her ball every hole, with a maximum score of double bogey. Golfers will select their own group to play with.

Individuals pay $100 and groups of four can sponsor a tee for $500. Tee sponsorships are $100. If you are unable to attend, you may make a contribution to support the golf team to the MGCCC Foundation by phone at 601-928-6344.
