No. 15 MGCCC cruises past Belhaven

No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast breezed to an 8-1 victory over Belhaven University on Friday at Bridges Tennis Center in Jackson.

In their spring season opener, the Bulldogs got two wins each from Travis Bell (So, Jackson/Calloway), Austin Vos (Fr, Perth, Australia/Applecross), John Murphy (So, Mobile, Ala./McGill-Toolen), Reid Cudd (So, Wiggins/Stone) and Evan Chubb (Fr, Biloxi/St. Patrick).

They lost only one set in winning five of six singles matches.

Gulf Coast's match Saturday at Holmes has been postponed until Feb. 2.
