MGCCC men earn national academic awards

PERKINSTON — Six Mississippi Gulf Coast men's tennis players earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete honors, helping the Bulldogs claim an ITA All-Academic Team award.

Reid Cudd (So, Wiggins/Stone), Austin Moore (So, Petal/Petal), John Murphy (So, Mobile, Ala./McGill-Toolen), Noah Rowell (So, Wiggins/Stone), Austin Vos (Fr, Perth, Australia/Applecross) and Hieu Vyong (So, Pass Christian/Pass Christian) had GPAs of 3.50 or better and won individual awards.

Teams had to have a GPA of 3.20 or better for their awards. Only 11 community colleges in the country achieved that mark.
