No. 15 MGCCC crushes No. 22 JCJC

PERKINSTON — No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast dominated No. 22 Jones County in men's tennis action Tuesday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex, sweeping 9-0.

The Bulldogs (6-0) dropped only one set on the day, improving on their 8-1 win at Ellisville last week.

Travis Bell and Austin Vos (Fr, Perth, Australia/Applecross) won easily at No. 1 doubles, as did John Murphy (So, Mobile, Ala./McGill-Toolen) and Noah Rowell (So, Wiggins/Stone) at No. 2. Evan Chubb (Fr, Biloxi/St. Patrick) and Reid Cudd (So, Wiggins/Stone) won their No. 3 doubles match 8-5.

Five of those players won singles matches, and Austin Moore (So, Petal/Petal) won No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-4.

Gulf Coast returns to action after spring break. The Bulldogs play Cowley County on March 20 in Meridian.
