Lady Bulldogs set to close out 2015

Mississippi Gulf Coast women's basketball coach Jason Conner has three thoughts headed into the Lady Bulldogs' last game of 2015. His team travels to play LSU-Eunice at 4 p.m. Saturday

"I'm happy with 6-2. It would be great to be 7-2," he said. "And we need a break."

Gulf Coast has won five of its last six, the last one also coming in Louisiana, a 42-35 win at Delgado in New Orleans on Wednesday.

LSU-Eunice comes into Saturday's game with a 3-11 record, but Conner does not expect it to be an easy contest.

"Every shot they shoot, and they'll shoot it from anywhere," he said, "when we attempt to get a rebound, their hands will be on it."

The Lady Bulldogs return to action after the holiday break when Delgado visits Perkinston on Jan. 7. Tipoff at the Weathers/Wentzell Center is at 5:30 p.m.
