The first time Mississippi Gulf Coast played Jones County, the Lady Bulldogs narrowly lost.
The Lady Bobcats hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds to win 58-57, a shot that Markeisha Watson said she got a piece of.
That narrow result should give the Lady Bulldogs (9-6, 1-6 MACJC South) confidence headed to Ellisville on Thursday for the rematch. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Bobcats are 13-3 overall, 5-1 division, and tied for first in the South with East Central.
Kamisha Tarvin led Gulf Coast with 14 points in the first meeting. Watson had 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Gulf Coast returns to Perkinston on Monday when Meridian visits. Tipoff at the Weathers/Wentzell Center is at 5:30 p.m.
