Cochran is MACJC Pitcher of the week

A brilliant pitching performance has earned Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College pitcher Cam Cochran MACJC Pitcher of the Week honors. The Bulldog sophomore got a complete game 3-2 victory over Illinois Central Mar. 7. The Baton Rouge, LA native scattered five hits, gave up no earned runs, and struck out 14 Illinois Central batters in the win. For the season, Cochran is 2-2 with a 3.70 ERA with 35 strikeouts against only five walks.

Gulf Coast (9-6) begins MACJC South Division play Wednesday at home against East Central.The Bulldogs enter the doubleheader riding a five game winning streak.
