Bulldogs swept by Southwest
PERKINSTON---Southwest hit three home runs in game one en route to a 10-8 win and an eventual doubleheader sweep of Gulf Coast Wednesday. The Bulldogs (15-18, 5-11) have now dropped three straight MACJC South Division games heading toward the season's home stretch.
In game one, the Bears hot three home runs and scored five runs in the top of the ninth to break open a 5-5 game. The Bulldogs responded with three runs to cut the lead to 10-8 but a double play ended the threat. James Land went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI while Tyler Quave had two hits including a solo homerun. Richie Clark and Adam Cagnina also had two hits for the Bulldogs. Cam Coachran started the game for Gulf Coast and struck out seven in six innings of work.
