Baseball digs in deeper to MACJC South Division play
PERKINSTON---Two doubleheader splits highlight the last four days of action for Mississippi Gulf Coast Communty College baseball as the Bulldogs get into the meat of MACJC South Division play.
On Mar. 15 the Bulldogs split a road doubleheader at Southwest. Then Tuesday Gulf Coast split again at home with Hinds, dropping the opener 11-0 then taking a 2-1 win in the nightcap.
The Bulldogs only had one hit and committed three errors in the game one loss. In game two Gulf Coast used a two-run homerun by James Land in the bottom of the first inning along with a complete game win by pitcher Ryne Long to get by Hinds 2-1. Long gave up a run on six hits and struck out three in the victory.
The Bulldogs (11-10, 2-4) travel to Baton Rouge Thursday for a non MACJC doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
