Guinn wins MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Aiden Guinn was perfect last week for No. 4 Mississippi Gulf Coast, and he's been recognized by the MACCC.
The freshman kicker from Wiggins has been named the conference's Special Teams Player of the Week after the 42-28 win over archrival Pearl River. The award was voted on by the MACCC's sports information directors.
Guinn made both his field goal attempts, including a 34-yarder, and all four extra points. He had three touchbacks on eight kickoffs.
He is the second Bulldog to win the honor this year, joining quarterback Landon Varnes. Guinn is now eligible for NJCAA weekly honors, which will be announced Wednesday.
