Lady Bulldogs’ Calhoun signs with Belhaven
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Kim Calhoun has signed a basketball scholarship to continue her playing career at Belhaven University.
Calhoun (5-11, So, Gulfport/West Harrison) averaged 4.0 points and 3.1 rebounds as a sophomore.
"I learned a lot here at Perkinston," she said. "I've been through a lot basketball-wise, but I still managed to keep on track. I enjoyed myself here."
The Blazers, an NCAA Division III school, play in the American Southwest Conference. They went 14-11 this spring.
"I just think it's a great environment," Calhoun said. "I like it a lot."
