Mississippi Gulf Coast had a shot at the buzzer to force overtime, but it didn't go and the Lady Bulldogs fell 62-60 to Pearl River in Poplarville.
Shaniqua Tobias (5-6, So, New Orleans/Warren Easton) led Gulf Coast with 21 points, and Eanna Sims (5-11, Fr, Jackson/Forest Hill) had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Whitney Williams (5-5, So, Ocean Springs/St. Martin) led Gulf Coast with nine assists.
The Lady Bulldogs (7-15, 1-12 MACJC South) trailed by double digits in the contest, but got key turnovers down the stretch to give the last-second opportunity.
PRCC earned a split in the season series to improve to 10-10, 3-10. The Lady Bulldogs won the first meeting 51-49, overcoming a 16-point second-half deficit.
