Mississippi Gulf Coast defeated host Baton Rouge 63-61 on the final day of the Lady Bears Classic.
The Lady Bulldogs evened their season record at 1-1, led by 16 points from Shaniqua Tobias (5-6, So, Warren Easton/Warren Easton). Keiara Williams (6-1, Fr, Warren Easton/Warren Easton) added 11 and pulled down nine rebounds.
Tobias and Whitney Williams led Gulf Coast with three assists each.
The Lady Bulldogs return to action Monday when they travel to Bishop State. Their first home game is Nov. 17 when Bishop State returns the favor.
