Bulldogs lose in 4 sets at home

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast lost in four sets to Coastal Alabama-North at Dantzler Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Coyotes won 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 25-21 to improve to 15-7. Gulf Coast is now 13-11.

Cambell Herrington (Fr., Brandon/Brandon) had 20 digs, and Alexa Shinabery (Fr., Marion, Ark./Marion) had 18. Sydney Tague (Fr., Olive Branch/DeSoto Central) had 20 assists, and Mariah Hammond (Fr., Slidell, La./Northshore) led Gulf Coast with 13 kills.

Dana Cool (Fr., Dothan, Ala./Northside Methodist Academy) had a team-best three aces.

The Bulldogs won 15 of 18 points during the third set to turn a deficit into a 24-15 lead in the fourth set.

Gulf Coast will host Itawamba on Monday in a return to MACCC play. The game starts at 5 p.m., and it will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.
