No. 12 Bulldogs lose at No. 13 Jones

No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast took its first MACCC loss of the season on Tuesday, losing 6-3 to No. 13 Jones at Ellisville.

The Bulldogs are 5-2 overall, 5-1 conference.

Jan Bako (Fr., Ostrava, Czech Republic/Hladnov) and Warren Hudson (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) picked up the sole doubles point for Gulf Coast at No. 2, winning 8-3.

Bako also won his No. 2 singles match, picking up steam after dropping the first set to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-0. Nick Dulaney (So., Long Beach/Long Beach) got the other Bulldog point at No. 6 singles, winning in straight sets

Jones is now 11-0, 6-0.

Gulf Coast hits the road later this week to play in the Tyler Invitational in Texas. The Bulldogs will play five games in four days starting Thursday.
