Softball throws out first pitch Jan. 30
PERKINSTON — New Mississippi Gulf Coast softball coach Izzy Werdann's first season will launch on Jan. 30 at the Mardi Gras Invitational.
The Bulldogs will play four games over two days in Youngsville, La., the first of 20 road games to start the season. Gulf Coast opens its home schedule March 10 when Hinds visits for the second doubleheader of the MACCC schedule.
All games at Perk will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch, and season passes and individual game tickets will go on sale at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets in January.
The first conference matchup will take place March 7 at Itawamba.
The schedule includes seven teams that finished in the final top 25 of the NJCAA Division II rankings (Copiah-Lincoln, Jones, Northwest Mississippi, LSU Eunice, Northeast Mississippi, Pearl River, UA Rich Mountain), and three teams that played in the Division II World Series (Co-Lin, Jones, Northwest).
