Gulf Coast loses at Pensacola State

Mississippi Gulf Coast took its first loss of the young men's basketball season on Saturday, losing 72-50 to host Pensacola State on the second day of its tournament.

Matthew Hinton (So., Atlanta, Ga./Dutchtown) was the only Bulldog in double digits with 10 points. King George (Fr., Olive Branch/Olive Branch) led Gulf Coast with seven rebounds.

The Bulldogs shot 37 percent from the floor, 17.6 percent from behind the 3-point line and under 50 percent from the free-throw line.

Gulf Coast will open its home schedule Tuesday when Baton Rouge Post-Grad visits Dantzler Arena. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., and tickets are available at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets. The game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.
