Parish earns 2nd MACCC Player of the Week honor
PERKINSTON — Duran Parish keeps filling up a box score line, and his efforts last week have earned him MACCC Player of the Week.
The sophomore point guard from Biloxi flirted with averaging a triple-double during a 3-0 week for the Bulldogs. He averaged 24.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists, including a 28-point, 11-rebound, nine-assist game in a 101-64 win over the University of Mobile JV.
He also had 26 points in a 101-68 win over East Central and 18 in a 79-76 win against Delgado. Parish leads all MACCC players in scoring at 24.2 ppg.
It's the second time this season Parish has been named Player of the Week by the conference. He's eligible for NJCAA weekly honors.
