PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast blew out Louisiana Knights on Monday at Dantzler Arena, winning 119-75.
The Bulldogs (5-1) were led by Duran Parish (So., Biloxi/Biloxi), who had 22.
"We played poorly the first half, but played better the second half," Gulf Coast coach Owen Miller said. "We had seven guys in double figures, and we just played the second half with more focus."
Zakariyya Dwight (Fr., Cordele, Ga./Crisp County) had 16 points, and Matthew Hinton (So., Atlanta, Ga./Dutchtown) scored 13. Maddox Noblitt (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) added 12 points, as did Kelinee Stone (Fr., Baton Rouge, La./Woodlawn).
Jaron LeMelle (Fr., Birmingham, Ala./Langston Hughes) and Juan Santiago Hector (Fr., D'Iberville/D'Iberville) scored 11 each.
Gulf Coast will play a pair of games at Coastal Alabama-South later this week. The Bulldogs play Bishop State on Thursday and the hosts on Friday. Both games are at 3:30 p.m.
